The Blue Cave is one of the most beautiful and largest caves in a series of caves – grottoes, located along the very sparse coast of the Luštica peninsula in the Bay of Kotor. The cave is between Zlatna Luka Bay and Cape Mokra Gora, 5.7 nautical miles away from Herceg Novi.

It has two openings at a 45-degree angle, a smaller opening on the south side and a larger one on the southwest side, which is 3 meters high and about 15 meters wide, allowing ordinary boats and smaller ships to enter the cave.

The depth of the sea inside the cave is 4-5 meters. The height from sea level to the top of the ceiling is 9 meters, and its surface area is around 300 m². It is named after its unusual crystal blue color, which is created by the reflection of sunlight that bounces off its surface on clear days.
